When disaster strikes preparation makes a huge difference!
“I can’t tell you how many survivors told me they wished they had better records of the property they lost.
They were so frustrated! Something had to be done.”
What we do:
Help you document your property with images and basic documentation using a fully end-to-end encrypted online chat system.
We retain that information on your behalf should you become a disaster survivor or need it for another purpose (insurance, appraisal, estimating, etc.).

From the moment I first started talking about DisasterTrack and helping people to create a baseline showing the exterior, interior and personal property they have BEFORE a disaster happens, I was challenged, “People don’t act that way! They don’t prepare! You may as well not bother.”
Maybe that’s true.
Just a week ago our neighborhood was hit by a small unreported tornado. Not the kind that tears buildings apart. The kind that tears limbs from trees, knocks down trees, pulls roof covering and siding from house, smashes fences and porches with wind and falling debris. No one in our neighborhood lost their home, but many suffered tens of thousands of dollars in damages. Our neighbor had three trees seriously damaged two of them damaged her fence. She was tearfully surveying her yard shortly after the storm when I spoke to her. She didn’t know what or if her insurance would cover the damages. Later, we learned that she has received a $10,000 estimate for tree removal and replacing the fence would be a minimum of $13,000. Reportedly, insurance will be capped at $500 per tree and given that her fence is now over 20 years old her policy pays out backed on an ACV basis. That means that her payout will be depreciated based on the age and wear of the old fence. After her deductible she will likely not receive any insurance payout. $23,000 in damages, a minimum of $12,000 if she has the trees and the rest of the fence hauled away. Wow….she is not a happy camper.
If it weren’t for the fact that she is our neighbor she wouldn’t know that she could apply for a Small Business Administration Disaster Loan as our county has been declared a national disaster area because of the incident and the wind damage she suffered was part of that storm.
Its very likely that she will be able to obtain an unsecured SBA Disaster Loan with monthly payments at about $65 a month and payments deferred for the first year. That’s for $15,000 to remove the trees and yard debris. If she decides to replace the fence is likely that she will be paying right at $100 a month.
